• Film interiors during the day — open blinds and curtains, and turn on interior lights too.
• Avoid filming directly into windows; strong backlight silhouettes the room.
• For exteriors, "golden hour" (early morning or before sunset) gives the most flattering light.
• Avoid harsh midday sun for exterior shots when you can help it.
