  • Starting out: your phone is genuinely enough — pair it with a basic clamp tripod (roughly $20-30) and you can shoot every package we offer.
  • First upgrade to make: stabilization, not a new camera — a smartphone gimbal (roughly $100-150) fixes shaky walkthrough footage more than any other single purchase.
  • For Custom Cut audio: a clip-on lavalier mic (wired or wireless, roughly $30-100) makes a bigger difference than any camera upgrade — clean audio reads as "professional" faster than clean video does.
  • For consistent interior lighting regardless of weather: a simple 2-light continuous LED kit lets you light a room the same way every time, rain or shine.
  • If you're ready to move to a dedicated camera: a mirrorless body with a wide-angle zoom (roughly 16-35mm equivalent) covers interiors better than most kit lenses.
  • Drone footage requires FAA Part 107 certification in the US before flying commercially — factor that into cost and timeline before buying a drone, not after.
